News in brief:
I set the breadmaker to make some bread so that it would be ready first thing this morning. It is linseed, sesame, sunflower, almond and pistachio bread and it is the best thing ever.
After a brief search I found that someone had uploaded "Roger sings the hits", which is a) awesome and b) highly nostalgic for me (I was at the Flying Nun 10th anniversary - it was a memorable gig) http://kiwitapes.blogspot.com/2007/08/various-artists-roger-sings-hits.html

that bread sounds divine.
Those illustrations are lovely! The first and third are my particular favorites. :) Thanks!
amazing stuff!
but: fairy+pin = *cringe*
I have to buy a breadmaker!! After reading your posts about yummy bread and seeing all the wonderful creations that Greta comes up with it definitely sounds like a worthwhile purchase
Cute Illustrations too - That last one is adorable!!
I love these, Thanks darling
Oooh you so have to give me your yummy recipe!! Mmmmm sounds divine!!
The nutty bread recipe is based on the Multigrain recipe in the booklet that came with the bread machine (ours is a Breville baker's oven), although I've modified it a bit, and is roughly as follows ...
300ml water (this is slightly reduced from the recipe because of the honey added later) 2 tbsp oil (I used peanut oil for a bit more of a nutty flavour) 1 1/2 tsp salt 2 tbsp honey 2 cups high grade flour 1 cup wholemeal flour 1 tbsp gluten flour 3 tbsp sunflower seeds 2 tbsp linseeds 2 tbsp sesame seeds 1/2 cup roughly chopped almonds 1/3 cup roughly chopped pistachios 3 tsp breadmaker's yeast (this has bread improver etc mixed in)
bread-maker settings: wholewheat - crust as you prefer but I choose dark
YUM!! as soon as I get over this tummy bug and can actually move without feeling sick I am so making some!! Thanx for posting it!!
Those illustrations, they are somewhat sinister and whimsical :) | |
